Salvation Army Donation Centre, 19 Woodside Road, Guildford, (01483 962806) accepts clothing and other household items. Larger donation centres welcome bigger items including furniture

 

TWAM. Tools with a Mission takes all sorts of tools and sewing materials, haberdashery, Bibles and some IT equipment and re-purposes them for sub-Saharan Africa (Beacon Hill United Reform church is a collection point and may be able to collect from households or from other churches)

 

Dunelm Stores recycles textiles, clothes, shoes, bedding etc. 

 

Zero Carbon Guildford
Zero takes hard-to-recycle items and sends them to organisations like TerracycleRecycling For Good Causes and Fundraise & Recycle.  These organisations are all UK-based, and they either repurpose them or turn them into things like playground equipment, watering cans, storage containers and more. Curry’s in Guildford will recycle your ‘old tech’ (remove or destroy all data first)


James.org.uk,   based in Southampton will accept a full range of computer-type equipment: computers, printers, phones, etc.. They might collect if enough items can be gathered together.

CeX. North Street, Guildford will take/buy most phones, unscratched CD’s, DVD’s, Blu Rays, Games, Consoles etc.
